CAMWS in Kitchener

The annual meetings of the Classical Association of the Middle West and South typically include sessions with academic papers on the reception of classical texts. Among scholarship on various types of classical reception, AIMS texts feature prominently.

Mythmatters, a blog

Roger Macfarlane treats in Mythmatters contemporary usages of classical myths, instances where narratives refer to Greek and Roman myths through a sort of shorthand. Such usages, by his narrow definition, are not archetypal narratives but rather deliberate — purposeful — applications, where the modern artist overtly alludes to the classical narrative.
